Madera Ribs have designed together with an experienced Pilot company the Ultimate Pilot Rib with each state of the art Furuno Navigation Equipment, Professional Communication equipment, 4 x Ullman Atlantic seats, strong towing pole, powerful heater, Pentium Computer, CD/Radio installation, Led navigation light, professional searchlights, build under class and fully equipment with all the necessary rescue equipment.
The Pilots have chosen to order 5 custom made Pilot Ribs from Madera Ribs because they needed the an very strong and robust RIB to take them out to the ships outside the harbour in every weather type.
The Pilot has an triple 300HP outboard installation so that the Pilots can reach the ships outside the harbour really fast without wasting time. The Pilot RIB has 3 big fuel tanks of 700L each to ensure maximum range and operation time without refuelling.
The triple outboard installation ensures NO downtime. If one engine is broken they still can continue with reasonable speed with 2 outboard engines. When the Pilot RIB is back in the harbour the broken engine can be replaced by an spare one within 30 minutes to reduce the down time. Under the fore deck there is an big cargo space access able by an big hatch were cargo, professional, diving equipment, spares etc can be stored.
